I know now that is has to do with the new version of OSX.
With High Sierra there is no problem at all
With Mojave the problem occurs!

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Acrobat Reader.
This seems to be an issue due to the new security settings on the Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave), wherein you need to to grant access to certain applications so they can access mail, messages, photos etc.
To provide access to Acrobat Reader to access Mac mail, please follow the steps below:
1) Select System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2) Click the icon labeled Security & Privacy.
3) Click the Privacy tab at the top.
4) In the left hand column, click on Automation,
5) Acrobat Reader will appear listed in the right hand section, Tick the boxes next to it to grant access.
6) Relaunch Acrobat Reader DC, and you should now be able to send file as a mail attachment using Mac Mail form within Acrobat Reader DC.
Please check and confirm if this works for you.
