How do i sign a fillable PDF?

An employer sent me their application pdf via email.

When I used the "fill & sign" tool it says, "You have opened a fillable PDF form. This form does not let you drag and drop saved information." If signing this type of PDF is not possible, what are my next steps?

Please help me out

Hi jon2149795,

You may try signing the pdf using Digital Signature. Below is the link which explains the procedure:

Digital IDs in Acrobat DC

Let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank You,

Shivam

I have created and added a digital ID with no luck. Maybe we both have different ideas of the word "signature". At the bottom of the application there is a line for a signature. This is the only line in the document that does not receive input. I would like to add my signature (my full name in cursive writing) to the PDF. The only answer I am looking for is one that results in my name being added to this specific line in the PDF document. If this is not possible I would like to know so I can stop wasting my time. Thank you.

Hi jon2149795,

I apologize for taking so long in responding.

It might be possible that the form is an XFA form created in Live Cycle  or security settings have been applied as described in the following link:

Adobe DC Form Signing

You may also refer to the following links:

How do I add my digital signature using Fill & Sign to a PDF that used DocuSign?
