cant install abode reader 23

I haven't been able to update to adobe version 23.  It starts off fine but gets to 90% then stops, pauses for a minute and then says failed.  Have been through every stage including clean the existing adobe off which I hope hasn't been a mistake.  I am also having trouble updating other things like Garmin.  The system is Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.  I am really not a computer expert so will need a step by step guide, if anyone can help?  Thanks!

    Hi Jeanettew89771385,

    The latest version of Adobe Reader is DC (2015.020.20039) or if it is Reader XI then version(11.0.18).

    Please try installing the latest patch through Adobe - Adobe Reader : For Macintosh

    If it still doesn't work, then uninstall the Adobe Reader completely from Application and Re-install it through-

    Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions
