cant open pdf attachment - getting the following message

I'm not sure why I get this message. I have current versions of Adobe DC and Adobe Reader.

Are you trying to open it in a browser window, perhaps? If so, then you're most likely not using Adobe Reader, but the browser's own internal PDF plugin. Download the file (do NOT use the Save As PDF, or Export to PDF, or Print to PDF commands!), then open it directly in Adobe Reader.
