Cant Patch Adobe reader DC "No valid Sequence For Set of Patches"

I am trying to patch adobe reader DC (AcroRead.msi) with latest patch AcroRdrDCUpd1700920044_MUI.msp in order to deploy thro Group Policy, the below steps is how I usually patch.

1- MSIEXEC /a AcroRead.msi (from wizard i choose desired path e.g C:\xyz)

2- CMD C:\xyz then execute : MSIEXEC /a AcroRead.msi /p AcroRdrDCUpd###.msp

i tried the above with patch AcroRdrDCUpd1502320070_MUI.msp and it works fine, am having the issue with AcroRdrDCUpd1700920044_MUI.msp where it prompts the error "No valid Sequence For Set of Patches".

Am i missing something?

also if there is any other way to patch Adobe Reader DC, please share.

    How are your patching Reader DC?

    Directly applying the patch over installed AIP for Reader 1502320070 OR first uninstalling Reader 1502320070, creating a new AIP for Reader 1700920044 and then installing the product.

    The former is an incorrect way and the latter is the correct way.

    i have a base AIP that i usually patch on, so every time i need to patch i create a new AIP for the new patch
