cant save any scans once they are in pdf form using windows 10 and adobe acrobat reader dc

the save icon is greyed out

    If you Scan a document to a PDF more than likely whatever program/system you used to do the scan has already saved it someplace on your computers hard drive.

    Try File > Save As to see if that works.

    Unfortunately none of the above resolve my issue.  Existing PDF file, opened, edited, attempt to 1)Save 2) Save as and 3) Save other.  In each case on Windows the save screen itself greys out.  Ive not had this issue before.  Its new and cannot see any similar issues on the help sites. Appreciate anyone who can help get this fixed.

    The PDF files was already saved. The save icon will be activated when you change the document, e. g. adding an comment.

    Every time you can use File > Save As...
