Question

Change font size within a fillable section of a PDF

My computer recently updated to the Acrobat Reader DC and I'm really struggling to find an answer on how to change the font size of a fillable form on my Mac. There is no character limit on the form in this specific section, so if I go beyond the visible space, a scrolling bar appears. This will not work as this form needs to be printed eventually, so I am trying to make the font smaller within the fillable space. I tried the "fill & sign" option, but any changes to font would be on new text boxes, but this is already a fillable area. How can I change the font to the premade space? I also have the free version of DC and would prefer not to have to buy a subscription for such a small task if possible. Thanks!

I was pleased to see this issue, as I have the same issue, but sad to see no one has ever responded.  I am on a Mac, pay $20 a month for the privilege of using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

I have a form that I need to fill out that I did not create.  I too want to just resize the font of my responses so they fit within the fillable boxes so that the form can be printed by the recipient. That's all!  But what seems like it would be simple in a well-designed computer program is shrouded in impenetrably confusing complexity, as with all things Adobe it seems.  When I right-click over the box, I am given the option to modify the text to make it bold, or italic, but NOT, for some reason, given the option to re-size or change the font.  The options are not there, and are impossible to find anywhere else.  This seems so stupid it makes you want to shout at somebody.  I am now spending much time trying to research how to change font size in a fillable form I did not create, and feel like I'm wandering down endless wrong paths, like the "Prepare Form" path which tell me how to create a form or what have you, which I do not want to do, and I am now  posting this cri de couer in a dormant thread on this website.
