How can I stop the "Start Tour" from opening every time I open Reader?

How can I change Reader from opening full-page every time?

    There were no updates.

    I do not know anything about changing a registry key.

    So I did what I should have done in the beginning.

    I uninstalled the program and re-installed.  That fixed the problem.

    Thank you for your response.

    Hi @sara_1792,

    I hope you are doing well, and We're sorry for the trouble you had.

    Are you getting any error message while opening the PDF file? Is it specific to one PDF or with all the PDFs? Please see this article and try the solution and let us know if that works for you: https://adobe.ly/3Br54IZ

    Thanks,

    Hi Williamh,

    I believe you have started experiencing this problem after updating the the Adobe Reader DC? If yes, then you may install the latest patch version 2019.010.20064. Open Adobe Reader>Help>Check for update.

    If it still doesn't work then you may troubleshoot the problem following the steps suggested below-

    You may refer to the following registry key and disable the "Start tour" option-

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\FTEDialog]

    "iFTEVersion"=dword:0000000a

    "iLastCardShown"=dword:00000000"

    Let us know if it doesn't fix the problem.

    Regards,

    Akanchha
