Changes in Acrobat Reader

I have acrobat reader and flash. I got an email to uninstall flash because would not support any more.

Now when I go to edit documents I cannot. What changed between these two? How can I edit documents?

Reader can't edit PDF documents beyond very basic tasks (fill in form fields, add comments, sign), Flash or no Flash.
