Character errors when saving Word docs as PDF

I get intermittent errors when using the Save as... PDF option in Word 2013. Have Acrobat DC installed.

Text sometimes appears as gobbledegook, seems to be only in headers- an example of one I just saved is in attachement- a screenshot showing the original Word doc in background, and PDF created in foreground. The gobbledegook can be seen top centre.

Any suggestions please?

    This seems to be a file specific issue and so please check and confirm if it happens with other files too.
