combine word 2016 files stuck (hangs) at converting

I am using Adobe Acrobat DC (the latest and greatest). Every time I go to combine word files into one PDF, the system hangs!

I noticed it relates to WinWord.exe. As soon as I end process each winword.exe the combine continues!

Please fix this adobe I have seen a similar post to this discussion. I am a Corporate customer but could nto get to any support channel to log an official case with yourselves.

Word 2016.

Please get this fixed its very inconvenient.
