HI,

I have downloaded a pdf document from google drive. the document has comments in it.

In adobe acrobat reader dc, I can see the red lines (for crossed out text) that came from a comment. However, I cannot see the text that is inside of the comment.

I have been through online help and followed the directions listed under preferences.

How can I see and reply to the comments that were in the document when it was downloaded?

Thank you.

    Hi Marce_ogw,

The document downloaded for the google drive, is it a document created from shared review by you? From where did you get this PDF?

    • It might or might not be a document specific problem. Please check with a different file that has comment in it, and try adding reply to it.

    • Also check the document properties whether it allows to add comment to it or not. Open Document>right click "Document Properties"

    • Make sure your Reader is also up to date. Open Adobe Reader>Help>Check for update.

    • It would be easier for us to understand the issue more clearly, if you share the file with us.

"You can share the file with us via email. And you can send it to the email that is shared via private message. Please do mention your forum thread in the subject"

    Regards,
