Compare with Adobe Pro 2017 on free version

Hello, I can compare two pdf with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2017 and save the comparison result, but if I open the result with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, which does not have compare, I cannot see the two pages side-by-side (but only one with notifications on it). Is it possible for me to open a side-by-side comparison made with Pro 2017 with the Reader DC 2015 version ? Thank you!

LE: I think a solution can be to visually save the side-by-side comparison as a new pdf with each page being the two pages compared (from old and new), but I have no idea how to do it

As I mentioned, this is just a workaround. This is the intended behavior that you get.

You will get the new document on one side and the changes made on the document on the other.

Sorry to say it is not possible to get the same layout in Adobe Reader DC.

    Hi Razvanu,

As you have mentioned above that when you open the saved compare result file in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC it does not open as it does in Adobe Acrobat DC.

This is a designed behavior. The compare feature is not available in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

This is the reason the file open with the comments of the compared result in application.

    Please try this workaround:

Open the compared file in Adobe Acrobat DC.

Then click on Print icon and select Adobe PDF as the printer.

Then print the PDF and save the file.

Check if that works for you.

Let us know if you need any help.

    Regards,

    Hello Meenakshi,

Using the method you explained, I still cannot get the two compared documents side by side, but I get side-by-side : one document and another page with the changes explained. Is this the intended behavior or I am doing something wrong ?

    Best regards,

    Razvan
