control how reader starts

every time Reader starts i have to go to view > show/hide > turn off Tools Pane, which is a pain - any way to start the program without the Tools Pane, etc?

Hi LeeDeCola,

Sorry for the delay in response.

To start the application without the tools pane, first, you need to manually hide the tools pane.

Then go to Edit>Preferences>Documents and check the box for "Remember current state of tools pane".

Click OK at the bottom to save the settings.

Then relaunch the application.
