Hi.

If I got a PDF file which is signed and I want to proof that is from the person who is standing in the certificate, what should the named person send me to verify?

In the certificate standing a lot of strings, but is only one of them to be used for a proof that the document is from the shown person?

If the question is "how can I check that the name in the certificate is the actual person" it depends how the certificate was issued. It might be that they could just type a name; or it might be that they have to prove who they are with proper documents; or somewhere in between.

The person should send you the public key.
