I had Acrobat XI Pro (Ver. 11.0.20). This MAC version would convert a .pdf to .doc and it would be readable and editable. Unfortunately the software was removed while updating to Acrobat DC (Ver 17.X.X). Acrobat DC is able to convert .pdf to .doc but is unable to maintain the formatting and the fonts. If you are able to locate a copy of Acrobat XI Pro grab it.

NOTE: Make sure it is not Acrobat Xi - they are not the same

This is the Reader forum. The OP has a subscription to ExportPDF (an add-on for Acrobat Reader) which should be able to do this just fine.

Maybe you can give us some details as to what you are trying and what is going wrong?

I have a PDF that when I try to convert it to a Word PDF and I input my Adobe user ID and password, it comes back as a failed attempt and to try again.  I have a valid Adobe account but cannot covert the file.
