Conversion function only working if open in browser.

Hi

I'm opening PDF's which open in my Acrobat Reader. This is showing I'm logged in and shows the function to convert PDF to Excel etc. I click convert and nothing happens (it used to just convert). I'm finding now I have to log in via the browser to convert. Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong in the reader? Surely the conversion functions would not be there if we weren't meant to use.
