Converting to Word

Question

When I try to convert to Word, it converts fine but then when I try to save it , it says "The network or path where you are trying to save this document is unavailable, what do you want to do?". Why is this happening and what is the solution?

Are you encountering the error with a specific file or all files?

Please try saving the converted PDF to a local drive. Also, ensure you’re using the latest version of Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. You can check for updates by going to the Help menu and selecting “Check for Updates.”

Download and install any available updates, then restart the app and your machine.

For Mac, the latest version is 24.003.20121 (Optional update, Sep 16, 2024). For Windows, the latest version is 24.003.20112.

Could you let me know if you’re on a Mac or Windows machine and the version you’re using? Also, are you using Acrobat or the freeware Acrobat Reader? You can check the current version from the Help menu > About Adobe Acrobat.

For testing purposes, you can try turning off Protected Mode:

Go to File/Menu > Preferences > Security Enhanced.
Select “Off” for Protected View.
Click OK, restart the app, and try saving the converted file again.
