Copying and Pasting Japanese with Punctuation characters

Hello,

I have been looking around for a while, but it doesn't seem anyone else has encountered my specific issue. Using acrobat, when trying to copy and paste (and also convert), Japanese vertical pages come out nearly perfect, however punctuation always comes out to symbols, numbers or exclamation points. I'm not sure why this happens, and haven't been able to find a work around for it. Here are the punctuation in general:  「　」、。etc. I'm using windows
