Creative Cloud PDF Reader

english version below

Hallo zusammen,

Vielen Dank!

Hello everyone,

we use the Creative Cloud in our team and have had the problem for about three to four weeks that the Acrobat Reader is affected by the licences. Previously, the Reader worked even if you no longer had a licence in the Cloud. Now PDFs can be opened without a licence, but the programme hangs up immediately and only displays a clock - nothing can be clicked on any more.

We also have the free reader installed, but the Cloud seems to always replace it with the licence version. PDFs can now only be read if a licence is available. The problems occurred out of the blue, without any recognisable update or the like; no one had changed anything beforehand.

Since today, a colleague has also had the additional problem that InDesign no longer works via the cloud despite having a licence. After an uninstallation, only the option buy or test is given for a new installation, although she is registered with a licence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Correct answer Amal.

Hi @Rebekka273340012q5o

We are sorry to hear that.

As mentioned, you have the free reader installed, but the Cloud seems to always replace it with the license version.

If you have installed the 32-bit Acrobat Reader application, you will be automatically upgraded to the 64-bit version of Acrobat Reader gradually.  If you have installed Acrobat Reader 64-bit and you purchase an Acrobat subscription, the Acrobat Reader 64-bit application will upgrade to become a fully functional Acrobat 64-bit application.

For more information, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/about-acrobat-reader-dc-migration-to-64-bit.html and see if that works for you.

Regards

Amal
