Current Preparation Progress Dialog Box

This dialog box has suddenly started appearing on my screen whenever I opena pdf. A visual bar implies it is not ready to read but the document is clearly visible behind the dialog box which disappeas by pressing a cancel button. How do I stop this appearing? Roger
