When using the document feeder there are preset sizes to choose from: A4, B5/JIS B5, US Letter, US Legal, A5, US Executive. However, I need to scan a large amount of papers sized 5.58 X 8.42 inches (duplex), using the feeder. How can I introduce this custom size into the preset sizes that are offered?

If you are referring to adding a custom paper size under Printer's tray, you may need to contact printer's manufacturer and see what they have to suggest. If you want to print pdfs in custom size in Reader/Acrobat, please refer to the steps given in the following link:
