DC Complaint: Every upgrade is a downgrade
I'm not here to ask a question. I am here to provide feedback, and complain.
1. Every time a new version of Acrobat Reader comes out, the user interface is worse. I don't want a share button, and I certainly don't want an even larger share button. I don't want a little help button or a permanent Alert bell icon. I don't want a big chunk of space taken up by "Sign In". I don't want to sign in. I don't want "Home", "Text" or "Tools" menus on the top-of-the-document bar. These things are all useless to me, and I can't remove them. I can add and remove other controls, but not these ones that I never use. What I want are navigation buttons and sizing buttons, and I have the power to display them, but I can't display all of the ones I want because so much of the real estate is taken up by these other text items and icons that are imposed on me. The latest release (MacOS 2009.008.20071) there is more space taken up by what (for me) is useless than in the previous version. Please, make these items available to those who want them, even make them defaults, but don't make it impossible to remove them.
2. I shouldn't have to log in and go to a forum in order to provide feedback on a product.
3. I darn sure shouldn't have to give you my birth date in order to provide feedback on a product. That's offensive, and insecure, and suggests that Adobe doesn't seriously want comments.
Amazing how difficult it is to provide feedback.
