Dealing with conficting printer dialogues (Adober version and system version)

Is there any sort of setting that prevents the adobe version of the print dialogue from opening, bypassing it in favor of the system print dialogue? It is a pain having to make sure that two sets of settings are set identically. I have printed entire documents only to realize that one of the print dialogues wasn't set the same as the other.
