Default to Single page printing on Brother MFC-L9570 printer

Good day,

One of our employees are having trouble with trying to print to a Brother MFC-L9570 single sided. If you open Adobe Acrobat for the first time and changed the profile of the printer to print single sided, then it'll stay single sided as long as you don't close Acrobat. Is there a way to make single-sided the default, even if you close Acrobat Reader? Or is it all contingent to the printer?
