I used to be able to apply a digital signature by signing a piece of paper and holding it up to my web cam.  After switching to a new computer (and maybe upgrading to windows 10) I no longer have this option.  Please help!

    Hi Jareds31157545,

As mentioned above, I assume that you used to take the picture of your signature through web camera and then able to apply to PDF?

Please help us understanding the issue as its seems to be a system specific where you are unable to add signature through web camera.

and also which adobe application (its version) you are using?

    Regards,

    Akanchha

I have adobe acrobat reader.  When saving word files to pdf, there is a button on the right titled "fill and sign".  I used to be able to click this and there was an option to apply a digital signature using my computer web camera.  I would simply sign a white piece of paper, and the web cam would be used to take a picture of the signature and apply it to the pdf document.  After changing computers and upgrading to windows 10, I no longer have the ability to do this.  I am now printing, signing, and scanning the document.  It was much nicer looking to add my signature electronically.

    Jared,

I assume you used to save your signature (captured by web camera) as image and then were able to add it through the "Sign"

because in the Adobe Reader there isn't any option to apply digital signature using web cam.

If you are looking for the option "Digital signature" under Certificates then for that you need to create digital i.d, which also doesn't have option to add signature through web cam.

Type, draw, or import a signature image

Please refer to the Sign PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader.  to know more about it.
