Disable automatic smoothing of pen tool (Acrobat DC)

Hi there,

I would like to disable the automatic smoothing of the pen tool.

I am using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (currently 20.012.20041).

I've tried putting the entry in the registry as per the advice provided here:

i.e.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\AVGeneral]
"bDisablePenToolSmoothening"=dword:00000001

However, it hasn't worked for me (including a restart and a re-install).
Any chance of having a toggle in the GUI?

Hi there,

Just an update: now running Adobe Acrobat Reader DC ver 2021.011.20039 on Windows 11, and still no luck trying to disable the automatic smoothing of the pen tool (again, tried the registry edit, but it's still smoothing/smoothening).

*Bump* also seeking help on this. The pen smoothing tool is downright awful. Anyone have an update on having this work?
