Is there any way to do this?  I hate not having control of WHEN an update gets installed.  If this is not possible, it SHOULD BE.

Hi @zachiedoo

Hope you are doing well. and we apologize for the delay in response.

By default, Adobe Reader is set to install the automatic update. There's no inbuilt setting that would allow disabling the auto-update, neither its recommended officially.

However, you can use the customization wizard to customize the installer and disable auto-update. Please refer to a similar discussion here:  https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-discussions/stop-adobe-reader-dc-auto-update-for-mac/td-p/10783183

Thanks,
