Display 3D pdf as embedded acrobat image in browser

Hi

I am trying to display a 3d pdf as an embedded image in a browser.  Displaying the pdf file in the browser is fine (using the "embed" tag) with the Adobe Acrobat plugin.  However the pdf renders as 2D and loses the 3D attributes in the plugin (tried several browsers but using mainly Chrome).  The same file will display OK in Acrobat (under windows 10) with 3D attributes.  Tried various techniques (e.g. embed pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html")

Is a separate plugin needed in a browser for 3D attributes to work in a browser?

Thanks

Paul

Chrome does not use any Adobe technology to show a PDF. Whether Acrobat (Reader) is installed makes no difference.
