I need help. I tried downloading a previous year's tax return and when I try to open it I get a message to.enter a password. I never set a password for this document. What do I do?

Is it your operating system asking for your operating system password?

Then you need to get the password from the people who created the file. You can't set a password policy in Reader, nor remove it.

    Downloading from where?

I downloaded it from turbo tax and then I go to my phones internal files and find it. When I click to view I get prompted to enter a document open password.

Hmmm. I use TurboTax and download my forms from there, too. They've never asked for a password.

I'd try using the password you use to sign into TurboTax and see if that works. If it doesn't, I would check the TurboTax site and see if it has information, and then contacting their customer support if looking through their help doesn't work. Since they created the PDF, they'd be the ones to ask.
