This subject is addressed in countless postings, although it continues to be your source of frustration by several users. Adobe's typical response: Go to Preferences/Default Layout and Zoom/Page Display/Rendering/Custom Resolution/ or some variation thereof.

Sure enough, this process does work to some degree, but I can't help but think it would be easier to add; +/- button on the main screen, much like when you open a pdf from a webpage.

This idea is so rudimentary, perhaps the feature is right in front of me, and I can't find it. Please advise.

You don't see this?

If not, right click in the toolbar area where it should be ang go to Show select and zoom tools and select both "Zoom in" and "Zoom out".

Do you mean in order to zoom in or out? If so, it's right there in the toolbar, two buttons with a "+" and "-" icons...

If not, please explain what you mean.
