Documents are gone

I went to my adobe app and found that all my documents are gone except for recent ones I saved last night.  How can I recover them?  I have important documents, tax returns included, that I need to recover.

    What do you mean by "gone"? If you saved them to your computer, they should still be there unless you deleted them. Have you looked around your download folder or other areas for them?
