Hi, I can't print double-sided with Acrobat Reader DC (latest version) on my Mac.  There is a thread addressing it that points to this link, https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-double-sided-acrobat-reader.html, but the checkbox "Print on both sides of paper" does not appear in the version of the print dialogue on my computer.

    Hello Jonathanl,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, the duplex printing (double-sided) is a printer feature and if your printer has this property, you will be able to print double-sided through Adobe Reader.

Please go to the Advanced properties of the Printer and enable the Double-Sided printing. Make sure that you have the latest version of the Printer firmware/driver installed.

What is the make and model of the printer you have?

What is the dot version of Adobe Reader installed? To identify, refer to Identify the product and its version for Acrobat and Reader DC

You can Print double-sided using a single-sided printer, for detailed information, refer to Print double-sided | Adobe Acrobat, Reader DC

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

    Thanks,

    Anand Sri.

Thanks for your reply. I see it now.  From the "Print" Dialogue, there is a "Printer" button, and clicking on it brings up another window where I can set double-sided.  I didn't see it before because it is after a warning that says you are leaving the application and that you should set all options from within the application.  In any case, it works fine.  The discussion and screenshot at the link given above should be updated because they're no longer accurate.

I'm running Reader DC  2018.11.20058.296032 with a Brother HL-2280DW printer.
