downloading adobe acrobat reader

I got an error message to say a plug in was missing so uninstall and download the reader again.  I've uninstalled but am having problems re-installing.  I click on install now, the box pops up in the top left then goes and the download starts to initialise.  It then goes to Step 2 of 3 and remains with this "If you encounter any issues downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, Click here." and won't continue just staying stuck on this screen.  Clicking here doesn't help!

I've looked at the articles and tried the direct download but get stuck at the same stage.  Turning the PC off and on doesn't help.  I had to reinstall the reader in August but the installation worked fine then.  I'm on Windows 10 on a desktop PC.

I don't know what to do now as I'm not very good at sorting these type of problems out.  Many thanks

From myself, problem solved.  My wife tried it in her identity on the PC and it downloaded perfectly.  As we are both administrators it should have worked for myself but glad it has been resolved.
