Dropbox folder names, the "." are not displayed correctly in Acrobat Reader DC

Ich habe mein Dropbox-Konto in Acrobat Reader integriert. Bei Dropbox verwende ich für diverse Projekte Ordner mit Namen, die Dezimalpunkte enthalten, wie z.B. "1.6.3.28 Der verunreinigte Futtermais". Adobe Reader zeigt in der Dateiübersicht den Ordnernamen nicht korrekt an, sondern nur in verstümmelter Form. Aus "1.6.3.28 Der verunreinigte Futtermais" wird "1.6.3". Da ich bei Dropbox etliche Ordner dieser Art "1.6.3.xx Text" angelegt habe, bekommen sie alle den gleichen Namen "1.6.3".

Das Problem gilt scheinbar nur für Ordnernamen, nicht für Dateinamen.

Gibt es eine Lösung?

HI Kampfhase,

As you have mentioned above, you have integrated the Dropbox account with the Adobe Reader.

Would you please let us know if you are using the Adobe Acrobat Reader on the desktop machine or on the mobile device?

It would be helpful if you can share the screenshot of the file overview you are referring to.

To share the screenshot, use the steps provided below:

- Click on the insert icon provided in the reply window as shown below:

- An Insert Image window will appear.

- Then click on Insert Image and browse the location where you have saved the screenshot file.

- Select the file and click on Open > Insert Image.

Hi Meenakshi,

this is a problem that dates back to the time many decades ago when hierarchical file systems came up. When interpreting a filename for display and it is a directory-name diplay it as is, don't intepret it. If it is a datafile-name you may parse it from the right to the first "." and display the part left of it as the filename and the part right of the dot as the filetype e.g "PDF" or "JPG" or whatever.

The screenshots show the Dropbox directory in Windows-Explorer, in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Windows and Adobe Acrobat Reader on Android.

The problem occurs on Adobe Reader on Windows as well as Android.

See what I mean? Adobe Reader should display the complete directory names. Instead it tries to interpret the name and cuts off everything right of the rightmost dot.
