e mail icon within AA Reader dc does not work

reinstalled windows 10 after problem. Uninstalled adobe acrobat reader dc, and reinstalled, checked all updates and repaired.

the e- mail icon does not work, giving me the error message:

either there is no default mail client or the current client  cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

I have checked this and it IS the default

    After trying many things that were posted on Forums, I looked in the Event Viewer and found that the program was trying to use MSMAPI32.DLL. This DLL was on the computer but not in the folder it was looking in, so just created the folder and copied the DLL to there and it now works.

    It was looking for C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\VFS\ProgramFilesCommonX64\SYSTEM\MSMAP\1033\MSMAPI32.DLL

    It was on the computer in the Program Files(x86) folder instead, found by just searching in the C: drive on the computer.

    Hello Lourensdd,

    Sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. Try changing the Outlook account settings once and see if this brings any difference. To change the settings, refer to the Adobe article Attach to email option is not working | Acrobat DC, Acrobat Reader DC

    You may also refer and try the suggestion from the following Adobe discussion Re: Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.3 not recognising email client

    For testing purpose, please create a test user profile with full admin rights and check with Adobe Reader DC and see if this issue is reproducible.
