ebook when pulled up through the cloud is black

when I go to pull up my ebook through adobe cloud (which I don't want) my screen is black. why is that? please help!!

What is the application that you are using to open the ebook?

In order to open ebook you need ebook reader or install Adobe Digital Edition application.

Did you install Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? Or you are using Acrobat plugin?
