edit pdf file metadata

I use DC Reader on a Win7 PC.  I want to add/edit PDF file metadata via Windows Explorer.

I add a free "edit file metadata" program to my PC. It works on mp4, jpeg, and others.

I set it up for PDFs also.

When I use it, it sort of works, but then says "error occurred while writing property to file......"

From within DC REader I cannot edit any of the existing data of pdfs.  I tried turning "protected mode" off, no difference.

What is the root cause of these two (IMO the same) problems.

You'll have to find support for that tool on that one.

Correct. You cannot edit meta-data with the free version of Acrobat Reader. You would need the full version of Acrobat.
