Edit the a polygon in Acrobat Reader

I have added a polygon shape to a PDF file via the comment section.
Can I now edit this existing polygon, add extra points, combine different shapes?

No. Once added you can only move the existing points around, or move the entire polygon. You can't add or remove points. You'll need to create a new one to have more (or fewer) points. And you can't combine shapes at all.
