Question

Eliminate Try Acrobat Pro in Adobe Reader

I have Reader on several computers that have never seen Acrobat and there is no Try Acrobat Pro in the title.

I have a computer where I had Acrobat Pro installed. Unfortunately Adobe has seen fir to charge me $600 for the 2023 - 2024 subscription for Acrobat. I uninstalled Acrobat, restarted and installed Reader (like all my other computers).

It asks me to Try Acrobat Pro every time I launch Reader. How do I get rid of this added icon in the Title bar?

If you are able to assist, thank you.

Uninstall Acrobat. Let run AcroCleaner to remove every trace of Adobe Acrobat. https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Reinstall Acrobat Reader only.

(It may well be, that the message is a standard message with Acrobat Reader, however.)

I have determined that the message did not appear so long as I also had an Adobe Pro subscription. I have eliminated that and got an email that I would get a refund.  So the icon appears to be for free only Reader installations. I just live with it.

Uninstall Acrobat DC Pro, install Acrobat Reader.

(BTW: Acrobat Pro DC does not cost $600 per year!)
