Hi!

We how one PDF document (PDF version 1.4) which render ok in Microsoft Reader and in Microsoft Word. But Acrobat Reader only shows blank page (document has only one page) and digital signature box in upper right corner. File is about 76 KB. Page size is 8,26 x 11,69 in. PDF is produced with iTextSharp 4.1.6.

Any idea what could be wrong with document? Could digitally signing document somehow corrupt it? (We belive PDF was ok before signing...)

Thanks in advance,

  Borut

Just curious, would this document be a scanned image?

No, it was created with Devexpress Reports and than converted from PDF to PDF/A with iTextSharp. We have same code in production for several years, created thousands of others documents.  There are no images in a report, just text and lines...

Can digitally signing corrupt PDF document?

    Hi Bor,

It is really hard to tell why this issue is occurring with this file. There are multiple reasons this may happen.

If the fonts aren't embedded properly or if there is some image in the file and is somehow corrupted this may happen.

I believe fonts are ok, because document is PDF/A compliant. There is no image in the file.

Here is how it looks in Acrobat Pro:

    Hi Borut,

Would it be possible for you to share the file with us? Would like to have a look of the file.

If yes, you may use either Google Drive or Dropbox or Adobe Send via private message: How Do I Send Private Message
