Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a diffrent PDF file and check.

What is the version of the Adobe AcrobatReader X you are using?  To check the version go to Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader

The last version of thAdobe Acrobat/Redaer X was released on 13th Oct 2015 version 10.1.16 please update the application and see if that works for you. Go to Help > Check for Updates. You may also download the patch using the link Overview — Release Notes for Legacy Acrobat Products

Also, Adobe Acrobat Reader X is an old and EOL application. It may or may not work. For more information please refer to the help page End of support for Acrobat X and Reader X
