Error with installing Acrobat Reader - newer version on PC

I am trying to install Adobe Reader for Windows 7 but I get the error that a newer version is already on the computer.  I cannot find an older use in Programs or uninstall.  I do a search for "Adobe" and I get many hits.  How do I go about deleting any of theses files that are old programs?
