Export PDF conversion hangs

I was using Acrobat Reader DC (paid for the service) to export PDF files for conversion to Excel format.   This worked reasonably well until recently.  I typically convert 3 pdf's as part of a task.  Recently the function started to hang at the conversion stage.  The icon spins basically forever.  I have to close Explorer (v11) in order to continue.   Not happy about paying for a service that no longer works.  Solutions?

I am having an identical problem trying to export pdf files to ppt.  Previously, the service worked fine.

I have followed the steps suggested in Steve's thread; The latest version of Reader is installed and no Reader exe files are running. I have also rebooted since performing these checks.

Is anyone able to help me please? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi,

We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

Please upgrade Reader to latest version from Help > Check for Updates and let us know the final version from Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Does this happen for all the files or some specific ones?

Please try the workflow using online service: https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

Kindly let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Poorvi

My version appears to be the most recent as I get the response "No updates available".

Using the cloud service is a number of steps that are time consuming as compared to the method that previously worked.

A service creates a PDF report within  Internet Explorer using the Adobe Reader plugin.   So it was a reasonably quick and easy route to converting the pdf to excel.

If I save the PDF instead and then open it with Acrobat Reader DC, and then try the export function (I am shown as logged in). I can't even get the export function to start.   The up/down arrow to the right of Export PDF, just simply changes from down to up when clicked and no further action is taken.

Again, I'm paying for a service that worked, but now does not.  I understand a certain lack of tech support for a free product, but this is paid.  There should be better tech support.

Please try the following

1. Let us know the Reader version from Help > 'About Acrobat Reader DC'.

2. Quit Reader and check if there is a process 'RdrCEF.exe*32' still active in the task manager? If there are, kill all of them and relaunch Reader.
