Question

Faded print with "Print as image" option

Hi all,

I have a printing problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader for some documents when I use the "Print as image" option.
The more pages the document has, the paler the text becomes. The first few pages of the document print fine and then from page 5 onwards, the writing becomes increasingly pale. This is not a printer problem, I have tried on several printers of different brands and drivers that do the same thing. If I print only page 5, it prints correctly, so it is not a problem with the document. If I print without the "Print as image" option the whole document prints correctly. Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a solution? I cannot disable the "Print as image" option, as it is the default option used for the whole company and many other documents print correctly.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Print as image is considered an emergency option only, for use only when a document can't be printed, to at least get something on paper, even if the quality is poor. That makes it a rather poor choice of forced default.
