"failed to be uploaded.Something went wrong while uploading the file" when trying to export PDF

I have a valid subscription but I keep on getting an error message when I try to convert a pdf into word. It says "[pdf file] failed to be uploaded.Something went wrong while uploading the file".

I am using Mac OS 10.15.7 and Acrobat Reader 2020.012.20043
