Failing to Install

Hi

I wanted to install a newer version of Adobe, as I was unable to open certain pdf's.  I was advised to uninstall current Adobe applications, and did so by going to "Programs and Features" on my "Control Panel".  However, when I try to reinstall Adobe (and I have tried Adobe Reader X and Adobe Reader DC) the installation fails with the explanation " A newer version of Adobe is already installed",  but I cannot find any installed apps in my Programs.  I use Adobe application for home use only and have Windows 7.  Please help, I'm desperate.

    Hi Anlinel,

Sorry to hear about the frustrating experience.

Since you are getting the error message "A newer version is already installed" while installing the application again. So, we recommend  you to please refer to the troubleshooting steps suggested in the help article here:  Error 1722 while installing/updating Acrobat DC/Acrobat Reader DC on Windows

Let us know if this doesn't improve anything.

    Regards,
