File doesn't save correctly

I have an end-user that running into a weird issue that I've not seen before.  They can scan and save several documents just fine but, at random, one will not.  This random file will scan and save but the save file is only 4KB- which isn't large enough to hold a scanned document, obviously.  When tested- We tried to open the document and get the error "Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open xxxx.pdf because it is either not a support file type or because the file has been damaged...".  Has anyone run into this before and was/is there a solution to remedy this?

Any assistance would be awesome.  I've tried searching for it online but haven't found anything that would resolve the issue.

Thanks-
