Fillable form completed on iPhone shows blank on Windows 10 Reader, but prints ok

My wife completed a fillable form on her iPhone and emailed it to me to view on my Windows 10 PC with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

When I view the form in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, it appears blank, but if I print it, the fields are populated.

When I view it in Firefox, it shows the completed fields.

When I view it in Microsoft Edge, it shows the completed fields.

So, it is only a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I tried some of the tricks posted on the forums such as adding a space or Cut-paste, but nothing works.

From viewing these forums, it appears this issue has been reported for at least 8 years now.

Will Adobe ever fix this problem?  I understand, Adobe wrote the spec on PDFs, but apparently everyone else is doing something different, so it seems Adobe needs to adapt.

Don't fill the form with Apple Preview. Fill the form with Acrobat Reader.
