Question

Fillable forms showing blank when filling on a Mac

I have read through several discussions and have not found an answer that works for me. I downloaded a fillable form from my employer. Opened it in Adobe Acrobat, filled it out, then uploaded to a website. When opened on the website it shows up blank. Adobe also does not give me the option to print to PDF. I have tried different browsers as well. If I send the PDF in an email to someone they can open it and see the filled in text. I have also tried uploading to a different website and it is still blank. All systems and software are updated to the lates versions. Colleagues with PC's do not seem to be having the same issue.

- Many browser PDF plugins are sub-par and will not display form fields correctly. There's nothing we can do about that. Stick with Adobe software and it should work fine.

- The Adobe PDF printer is not available on Mac computers (due to an Apple policy). You can flatten the files, though, which will convert the form fields to static contents, and ensure they will be visible even outside of Adobe applications.

I don't really have control whether the people that open it, open it in the browser or Adobe. I fill it out with Adobe. I will say that my colleagues that use a PC, their PDF opens just fine in the browser. I have discovered, I basically have to fill it out twice. I download the fillable PDF. Fill it out. Then I have to save a copy of it. Then copy and paste the information in the fillable boxes to the copied PDF, then upload it, then the browser displays it correctly. My other co-worker with a Mac has the same problem.
